OUR CHOIRS ARE GOING TO THE NATIONALS!!!!`

These needy yet talented children from Mercy Care Centre have received God's favour and made it through the preliminaries to represent Nairobi province at the National level. The National level will take place from 6th - 15th August in Kakamega town.
Kakamega town is found in western part of the country near the shores of the second largest fresh water lake called Lake Victoria. The journey takes 10 hours from Nairobi. The main means of transport is by Bus as there is no train that goes there.Once again we will have our matresses to cushion us against the rough floor. We have been given a choice of spending a night in a church and or a classroom.
Kakamega Town is Malaria prone and we thank our friends for carrying several mosquito nets. They will come in handy. The main stable food is "UGALI"eaten with stew .

GREAT FRIENDS!!!

In the month of June and early days of July we had wonderful friends from Australia,USA,Tanzania and Zambia.
They brought their love and encoragement to the needy children in Mercy Care Centre.
It was a great blessing to us to see a team of dedicated soldiers of christ to come and follow the footsteps of Christ-Being mindful of the needy in society. In the one month they were in MCC they were like a well oiled engine to the blessing of each child in Mercy Care Centre.
May the lord bless them in their station of work and may the seed that they have planted grow into a huge tree(touch many heart to come to mercy care centre)

DONATION OF SHOES!!!

Mercy Care centre has received 441 pairs of shoes to be distributed to the needy children when they return to school after the holiday. The shoes of all sizes were kindly donated through feed the children programme.
Our God is good and always faithful to the just cause. The shoes are donated to us when we have heavy rains and floods at the moment. They will come in handy.Beside the children will at least have some shoes on during the week end.
This in addition to the warm lunch they receive on saturday and holiday.Ifeel deeply the words of Jesus christ--------Paraphased"let the little children come to me for the kingdom of God belongs to them"------------.It is in humble submission that i say to you all who make this possible and follow an example of christ.May the lord's favour be upon you.
