KUDOS MCCF BOARD!!!!!

Here is one happy girl that you have put a permanent smile on
her face.Thank you for taking a decision to educate her.
I take this opportunity to thank you all for having seen me through school. I know that without you I could not have made it since I am an orphan. You have been with me through hard times since I was in primary. I once again thank you all.

Special thanks for being with me during the 2007 aborted election. By then I was in Ruchu girls which was not in my tribal area. I would have still been in Ruchu Girls hadn’t they acted swiftly and took me out of the school and who knows what would have happened to me!!!!

From Ruchu Girls I was taken to Shiners Girls, all thanks to Mr. Patrick Lumumba who worked so hard to get me into that school. I successfully completed my form four there and managed to get a C+.(minimal uni.entrance)

My desire is to do accounts and I so appeal to you to consider putting me through this. It is a three year course.

I love you all for the kind heart that you have extended to one orphaned girl here in Kenya. I will live to remember that always. My ambition is to help another girl out there.

Yours faithfully

Elizabeth Apiyo

They danced and acted their hearts out.

Mercy care students perfomed before the area councillor and
the city education officers.
We up held our tradition of licking the ice cream whenever we have done well.Please pray that we;
a) Are able to get transport to Kisumu.Six hours drive from Nairobi and that we reach safely.
b)Kisumu is a malaria Prone town.Pray that our students are protected on this.
c) Pray that we may be able to get funds for accomodation and food while we are in Kisumu.
This is our way of aprreciating our love and concern to us.

SPORTS!

The two teachers-Peter Kubwa and Monica Saya will be leading the MCC soccer and netball team respectively to Garrisa during this easter holiday. The two teams qualified to go to the Nationanal championship due to their hard work.Garrisa is found in north Eastern part of Kenya which is more prone to bandits. However the government has asured us of the much needed security.A total of twenty seven children will be making the trip.

MATTERS SCIENCE!

On Wednesday 10th March 2010.The secondary school students took part in a science congress that was held at Eastleigh High school.Their experiments involved levers,Inclined Planes and wheel and Axle.It was very wonderful to see the young scientist in action.Indeed MCC is impacting positively the minds of the young boys and girls. We hope to involve other sciences in future. We cannot fail to thank Tom who visited MCC last summer and left the science atmosphere in school.
