DRAMA COMPETITION!!!

The secondary school and the primary school took part in the drama competition that was held last week. The secondary presented a play and the primary an acted story dance.
They all managed to get first positions in North nairobi Zone.Subsequently they will proceed to the provincial level to compete the other zones. The drama dance and the play depict the violence that was witnessed in the valley. It was full of conflicts and remedies to the conflicts that we think leaders should be able to borrow a leaf.Being part of what they witnessed, they acted as natural as possible.
The sad news this week is that the porridge which serves as breakfast that is provided by feed the children will not be available. But we thank you all for giving us the general funds which will be used to continue with the programme.
All in all we continue to see the effect of your prayers here in Mercy Care Centre.

What awesome news about the the competition. Please let the students and teacher know how proud we are of the hard work they have put in to create such success. They should be proud and hold their heads high. Your resourcefulness is one of your great qualities Patrick. Glad you are able to use the general funds to feed the children. Blessing to you and all you touch with your work.

Kudos to the thespians for a good job excellently done!
I was particularly fascinated by the perfomance of Margaret, Morrice and Melline on stage.

I would love to see a presentation of the drama . .. to see an example of how the creative arts can both provide an outlet for a traumatic experience and also generate solutions for embedded social problems. What a wise way to prepare for a dramatic competition. May the seeds sown by this drama bear the fruit of peace in the lives of the students and those who see the drama! May God continue to bless and inspire your leadership,

Dear Patrick,
What great news - I will post it on our church bulletin board! I know that the children and staff must feel great about this recognition after all the effort they have invested in preparing for the competition. May their message of peace and conflict resolution continue to spread and receive top honors! It is sad to hear of the loss of the morning porridge. I suppose that the world economic crisis is still having a negative impact in many ways. We are glad to be a small part of the great work you are doing, as God always inspires you to find a way to meet the need! Steve and Peakland Baptist
