EXAMINATION TIME IN MERCY CARE CENTRE

This week is a quite one as all the students are sitting for the end of year examination. At the end of the examination, the students will have a one month Christmas recess. They are all eager to produce good grades in conformity with the Mercy Care Centre tradition.
What impresses me is that the students all appear so concentrated and would not want to disappoint.
We hope to give them a Christmas party before they all resign to the wider area of the slum.
The secondary section have all promised to turn up during the holidays to carry out the Science experiments that they missed during the term.
As a way of showing an appreciation for the teachers, they will have a three day retreat to Mombasa.Mombasa is a beach town and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean are very inviting

Exam time is always a stressful time for students and teachers. A break for the teachers to Mombasa is well earned. As the year draws to an end, I think about all that has happened at MCC. No matter the good or bad, MCC was a bright light to the children and will continue to be in the years to come. Our prayers will be with you all as the year ends and will remain focused on the safety and health of everyone during the time off.
Blessings,
Bethany

By the look on the faces of the students I can tell that they are taking their work seriously.
Best of luck,

Patrick, we have been praying for you, the teachers and the children of MCC during the exam times. We are so proud of their excellent efforts. The trip to Mombasa will be wonderful. Lee Ray and I loved Mombasa. Wish we could be with you.

May God continue to bless you and keep you all strong in Him.

Love to all,

Dear Patrick. It is wonderful to see all the young people so engaged in school. What an exciting (and stressful) time! My students at E.C. Glass are all writing letters and cards to send for your Chritmas party. We have also been working hard to raise money and we will be able to wire funds for a special meal. We are all very excited to be connecting with our sister school in this way during the season of hope and joy. We are all also so proud that our future president has such strong connections with Kenya.
Sending love across the ocean.

We hope the Christmas break is refreshing, and that the staff enjoy their time in Mombasa. Well deserved!

I am thrilled that the staff can bond better on the retreat. EC Glass is excited about sponsoring the Christmas party. We did well at our Winter Market stall. Our prayer is that the children and staff enjoy a nice break and that the new year brings lots of blessings! Carroll

Quick message to the kids:

Y'all (you all) are to be commended for being so dedicated and for the good work so far. I'm impressed with how well y'all continue to attack the challenges you face as a school. Keep studying hard, as it will pay off!

Best,

Ed Lane
