OUR CHOIRS ARE GOING TO THE NATIONALS!!!!`
These needy yet talented children from Mercy Care Centre have received God's favour and made it through the preliminaries to represent Nairobi province at the National level. The National level will take place from 6th - 15th August in Kakamega town.
Kakamega town is found in western part of the country near the shores of the second largest fresh water lake called Lake Victoria. The journey takes 10 hours from Nairobi. The main means of transport is by Bus as there is no train that goes there.Once again we will have our matresses to cushion us against the rough floor. We have been given a choice of spending a night in a church and or a classroom.
Kakamega Town is Malaria prone and we thank our friends for carrying several mosquito nets. They will come in handy. The main stable food is "UGALI"eaten with stew .

GREAT FRIENDS!!!
In the month of June and early days of July we had wonderful friends from Australia,USA,Tanzania and Zambia.
They brought their love and encoragement to the needy children in Mercy Care Centre.
It was a great blessing to us to see a team of dedicated soldiers of christ to come and follow the footsteps of Christ-Being mindful of the needy in society. In the one month they were in MCC they were like a well oiled engine to the blessing of each child in Mercy Care Centre.
May the lord bless them in their station of work and may the seed that they have planted grow into a huge tree(touch many heart to come to mercy care centre)
